Habit: Naturally rounded, but easily pruned into a formal hedge. Responds well to pruning, getting quite dense, but will be more open in correspondingly more shade.

Fertilization: Spring or fall- Espoma: Holly Tone, Plant Tone or Tree Tone
Landscape benefits and culture: Versatile deciduous shrub for intermediate height needs. Tolerates full sun to full shade, and dry soils.
Pruning: Can be pruned (literally) anytime since there are no flowers that might be sacrificed by pruning at the wrong time of year.
Potential pests/issues: Leaf spot and Anthracnose
