- Water 15 – 20 minutes every day, keeping your grass and soil wet. If the temperature is above 80˚ you should water twice a day.
- After ten days, water for 30 minutes every other day for another ten days; then reduce watering to twice a week applying 1.5” of water each week.
- After about three weeks, let your sod dry out for a couple of days and cut for the first time with the mower height set to 3” – 3.5”. Do not cut too short.
- You may walk on the lawn to move sprinklers, but keep non-essential foot traffic to an absolute minimum.
- Continue watering once a week for the remainder of the first season.
